In almost sixty years from a small business to a globally active medium-sized company with over 350 employees

1963

Foundation

Paul Stolzer founds STOPA Kesselbau GmbH & Co. KG and begins construction of the first factory building.

1965

Start of production

On July 1, the production of boilers and swimming pools begins with a total of 13 employees.

1974

Change of name

STOPA Stahlbau GmbH & Co. KG starts with the development of steel constructions and has 38 employees.

1985

Cooperation with TRUMPF

Start of production of storage systems. Partnership with the world market leader for machine tools: the company Trumpf from Ditzingen near Stuttgart. STOPA has 104 employees.

1994

Growth

Expansion of the new core business of storage systems and change of name to STOPA Anlagenbau GmbH & Co. KG. STOPA America is founded with headquarters in Burlington, Connecticut, USA. STOPA has 130 employees worldwide.

2013

Extension

Software development is brought back in-house after an outsourcing phase. The “stolzer” brand is established and develops automatic parking system solutions. Another name change to STOPA Anlagenbau GmbH with now more than 170 employees worldwide.

2016-2017

New construction and expansion of the company headquarters

STOPA China is founded. The constantly growing company needs more space, and a new office building and a new assembly hall at the headquarters in Achern-Gamshurst provide the necessary capacity. STOPA has over 200 employees worldwide.

2022

Expansion of production possibilities

The new prefabrication facility is completed and enables the company to meet the constantly increasing demands. STOPA now employs over 350 people worldwide.

For more than 30 years, we have been working closely with the world market leader for machine tools: Trumpf from Ditzingen near Stuttgart.
